Begoña Ascaso, PhD

I have a Bachelor in Mathematics earned at the Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya (UPC) and a PhD in Astrophysics obtained at the Instituto de Astrofísica de Andalucía in Granada, Spain. After that, I have worked as a post-doctoral researcher and data scientist at the University of California Davis (USA), the Instituto de Astrofísica de Andalucía (Spain) and the Observatoire de Paris (France).

Along the way, I have analysed and modeled big complex datasets by using a variety of techniques: Bayesian Statistics, Clustering Algorithms, Machine Learning, Regression Models, Inference Models... and programming languages (Python, IDL, Fortran, R, Matlab...).
